Important Message for all MKCVYS Members and Stakeholders

After careful consideration the trustees of MKCVYS have decided to dissolve its charities and limited company by 31 March 2010. It is intended that our existing strategic role will be merged with Milton Keynes Council for Voluntary Organisations (MKCVO).

We believe that the CVO will be able to provide:

·        Stronger representation for the voluntary youth sector

·        Greater sustainability and potential for growth

·        Opportunities for third sector work with the Children’s Trust

·        Better integration with the new Integrated Youth

Support Service

It is the CVOs intention in its strategic role in representing voluntary youth organisations to maintain the MKCVYS branding. However our existing development role will not be undertaken by the CVO. Your membership will transfer to CVO under a CVYS grouping. If you do not wish your organisation to be represented by CVO please do contact me. In future there will be no annual membership fees.

These changes will also result in MKCVYS vacating its premises at 32 Burners Lane, Kiln Farm and as a result we are no longer taking bookings for room hire. Milton Keynes Play Association has agreed to take over responsibility for mini-bus hire and the loan of activity equipment.
